A day that was meant to be really good turned real bad!!
It’s evident that poor service standard’s everywhere, with the increase of foreign workers (be it that they’re from myanmmar, PRC, Vietnam), these foreign workers are a issue. 1st is the never ending language barrier, its so difficult to communicate with them when they know very minimal english. And the worse if they cant even communicate in chinese (except the PRCs). I’m sorry, i’m not trying to be mean, but really, why are we paying so much for service charge when obviously the service that we’re getting from all these foreign service staff are liek so sub-standard? So bad, that i wish i can call for any help, to get them all out of the country. Really.
I’m not stereotyping, im just stating the facts base on tonight’s dinner. Was over at Mr Bean’s at Prinsep street, and i couldnt stand the service the moment i reached. I made a reservation for 7pm and was told that i would have to come at 6.45pm to get the seats (ridiculous right? usually pple give a 15minutes grace lohz, and not 15minutes earlier), so anyway, i changed it to 7.15 instead, so which meant i had t reach by 7. Obviously i was early for my reservation, and only to realise that they had not set a single table for my reservation and they had to make me repeat my problem of not even getting a seat to 5 different service staff, who were all from a foreign country. Even with me getting angry and repeating, they did simply nothing to arrange for seats until i asked if they’re actually making any arrangements (coz they made me stand there and wait like idiot). I’m not trying to make a big fuss, but if u insist i should come 15 minutes earlier for my reservation coz u say tonight playing soccer alot of people will be there (which obviously wasnt true, coz its really not crowded), den at least prepare a table!
Then because that place is so full of foreign staff, communicating in english was very much a problem. Difficulty of taking proper orders, no repeating of order, and even gave us wrong information about being able to upgrade the meals to make it a set, which when asked said that its possible to, and upon making our orders it was made known that no upgrades on sat. WTH, if u dont know your stuff well, den sorry, go back to your country. THANK YOU!
And lastly, taking years to serve the food, nvm. Upon asking to check if the food’s coming, the service staff din even had the basic courteousy to come back and inform if the food was coming or not. And only gave me an answer when i stared at him for the 2nd time. Really, i cannot stand such lousy service. And still dare to charge me service charge, bloody hell u idiots!!
Looking for new places to eat is my favourite past time, and i hate it when i visit places like this, when i totally dont enjoy the food and of coz the extremely lousy service. Very sorry to say, neither am i going back, nor am i going to introduce anyone there. Its really so bad, that i think about it and feel that i’ve wasted my money on such junks! The Fish & Chips that i had was so fishy and muddy taste, that i only ate 2 mouths of it. I hate it and i hate the service there. REALLY AM NEVER GOING BACK! It’s really horrible!
My day was simply ruined. Really!!!
Sidenote: Defintely, Maybe’s not too bad, abit slow but ermm can watch lahz!
